President Trump said on Thursday that his administration will lay out its plan for the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement within two weeks, while also ripping Canadian dairy and lumber policies.

The remarks came as Trump was signing an unrelated executive order on steel imports in the Oval Office.
“The fact is NAFTA, whether it’s Mexico or it’s Canada, is a disaster for our country. It’s a disaster. It’s a trading disaster,” Trump said. “And we’ll be reporting back some time in the next two weeks as to NAFTA and what we’re going to do about it.”
Trump also took aim at Canada’s dairy policies, which he said he became concerned about during his trip earlier in the week in Wisconsin. Trump did not specify what Canadian policy on dairy drew his ire, but U.S. dairy producers and lawmakers have been loudly criticizing Canada’s milk pricing policy.
