On Wednesdayās Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Donald Trumpās campaign manager said Trump is committed to renegotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement with the 11 nations and then honoring the Constitution by getting two-thirds of the Senate to approve those bilateral agreements.

He added that Trump is the only candidate in the race who can cut good deals on behalf of the American people.
During Tuesday nightās debate, Trump said that TPP was āa horrible dealā that āis going to lead to nothing but troubleā and he would rather make āindividual deals with individual countries.ā
āThis is one of the worst trade deals,ā Trump said. āI would rather not have it.ā
Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that āthe American government should go out and cut the best deal with individual countries so we can make sure weāre getting the best deal.ā
When Bannon asked whether Trump would make bilateral deals and āuse his force of willā to attempt to get two-thirds of the Senate to support it, he said, āabsolutely.ā
āWe should be negotiating these deals one-on-one with every country. Why wouldnāt we want to do that? We negotiate from a position of strength not a position of weakness,ā Lewandowski said.
Trump has been touting his business expertise and ability to cut great deals for America, and Lewandowski emphasized that Trump āis the only person in the race who has the ability to negotiate like thatā¦ where all these other guys will fail.ā
Lewandowski noted that the TPP agreement allows āa whole series of countriesā to attempt to ātake advantage of the United States,ā and because āitās an up or down voteā (majority vote instead of two-thirds) because of Obamaās fast-track authority, the agreement cannot be negotiated with individual nations.
As Trump mentioned during the debate, Lewandowski also said that if TPP is approved, āthis is a back door access to China to come and continue to eat our lunch every single day, and thatās why TPP should be stopped.ā Lewandowski added that there are just not enough people, especially Republicans running for president, who agree with that because āthey think [TPP is] the right thingā¦ and they are fundamentally wrong.ā
Lewandowski, as Trump said during last nightās debate, said that the businessman is āunequivocallyā a free trader.
āIām a free trader, but we need smart people making the deals, and we donāt have smart people making the deals,ā Trump said at Tuesdayās debate.
