John Hansen is president of Nebraska Farmers Union. He was first elected to his first two-year term in 1989 and has been re-elected every two years since. Hansen serves on a number of National Farmers Union Committees and Boards including the Executive, Budget & Audit, Legislative, Meritorious Service, and Regenerative Agriculture and Local Foods Committees. He also serves on the NFU Foundation, PAC, and Services Association boards. Before moving to Lincoln to serve as President in 1990, he operated a diversified grain and livestock operation in Madison County, NE.
