Senate Finance Committee member Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is calling for President-elect Trump to conduct a sweeping review of the United States’ trade relationship with China, pick a U.S. Trade Representative with a background in manufacturing, ditch the Trans-Pacific Partnership and renegotiate NAFTA.
“Donald Trump made a lot of big promises during this campaign, including to overhaul our trade policy and renegotiate NAFTA within his first 100 days in office. I’m calling on him to make good on those promises — and I’m going to hold him accountable to Ohio workers every step of the way,” Brown said in a Nov. 16 press release accompanying a letter laying out actions that Trump should prioritize.
