Trump’s insistence on a 25 percent tariff on steel and 10 percent on aluminum – set to be made official next week, according to the White House – sparked the strongest criticism yetfrom his own party on Capitol Hill, in addition to multiple pledges by close allies and others that the moves would be met with strong resistance.
Trump made clear this morning that he was unfazed.
“When a country (USA) is losing many billions of dollars on trade with virtually every country it does business with, trade wars are good, and easy to win,” he declared.
