Seattle City Council Opposes Fast Track

Seattle.jpg

One week ago, the Seattle City Council voted to approve a resolution opposing Fast Track.  That resolution can be found here.

In addition, CPA wrote a letter to the City Council to support the resolution.  We received an email back in response, cut and pasted below.

Thanks again to the Seattle City Council for opposing Fast Track.

Thank you for your recent email to Councilmember Burgess about trade promotion authority (“fast track” authority) and the Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement. The Council voted unanimously yesterday to support a resolution opposing the current form of trade promotion authority and supporting trade that improves quality of life in all signatory countries, protects workers, enforces environmental standards, and maintains our judicial system and local regulatory authority.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
