CPA recognizes the efforts of these two Representatives in support of trade and manufacturing policies that benefit America’s manufactures, workers, farmers, and ranchers.
“The American Trade Hero award is presented by CPA to Representatives or Senators who take action to correct failed trade policies, and who support domestic producers fighting for survival in the face of foreign mercantilism,” said Dan DiMicco, Chairman of CPA. “Congressmen Lipinski and Brooks understand that trade deficits are killing American jobs and are working hard to fix the problem.”
Representative Dan Lipinski has a strong voting record with CPA. He has opposed measures like Trade Promotion Authority and repeal of country of origin labeling, and he has voted against trade agreements with South Korea, Panama, Columbia, and Peru.
Representative Mo Brooks sponsored a critical House resolution to balance trade, which prioritized the reduction and elimination of America’s troubling international trade deficit.
Reps. Lipinski and Brooks will receive their awards during the 2018 CPA Trade Conference, March 12-14, 2018, in Washington DC.
