The Made in America Movement, based in Scranton, has agreed to purchase the Made in America Co., which is considered the world’s largest retailer of products made in the United States, the company plans to announce today in a press release.

“To make it as America, we have to make it in America,” Margarita Mendoza, CEO and founder of The Made in America Movement, said Monday. “Bringing the Made in America Co. community into our organization will serve to grow consumer awareness of brands that manufacture in the USA and will help these companies grow.”

The Made in America Movement, incorporated by Mendoza in 2013, represents tens of thousands of companies across the country that make their products in the United States.

The organization was invited by President Donald Trump to The White House for “Made in America Day.”

“We help promote and advertise American-made brands,” Mendoza said. “We give them a platform.”

Made in America Co. was founded in North Carolina in 2013 and was later acquired by Bromwell Inc., a 200-year old company that markets American-made products.

“The Made in America Movement team is world-class and is passionate about the same thing we are — celebrating USA-based companies and the families that rely on them,” Deagan Williams, founder of Made in America Co., said in a press release.
