The US is helping China become the next superpower.
That is the conclusion of a US intelligence analyst, Michael Pillsbury, who wrote the recent book: “The Hundred-Year Marathon: China’s Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower.”
Manufacturing & Technology News (subscription required) reports:
Pillsbury, who spent 40 years as a China analyst for the Pentagon and CIA, found that the US is planing an “indispensable role helping the Chinese government build a booming economy, develop its scientific and military capabilities, and take its place on the world stage in the belief that China’s rise will bring us cooperation, diplomacy and free trade.”
But the United states has unwittingly fallen into the “China Dream,” which is “to replace us, just as America replaced the British Empire, without firing a shot.”
