In other happenings this week, U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman on Tuesday (Sept. 8) is likely to discuss the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations in separate meetings with the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN) and the head of Vietnam’s National Assembly.

Finally, U.S. companies operating in China and the major association representing the Indian private sector will be in Washington this week to press for expanding trade ties with the United States.

Meanwhile, Congress will be focused on consideration of a disapproval resolution regarding the nuclear deal negotiated between Iran and world powers including the United States. The rest of September is expected to be dominated by a debate over funding the government, given that current appropriations expire on Sept. 30.
