Historic Launch of US Job Quality Index – Join Us

The US has long provided measures of the quantity of jobs created, but not the quality of those jobs. Our new index (JQI) answers many important questions including why the Philips Curve is not working, why global trade and deindustrialization deteriorate the quality of the employment.

We’re pleased to announce the following moderators for the launch of the U.S. Private Sector Job Quality Index (JQI)® on Wednesday 11/13 and Thursday 11/14:

In New York on November 13, Tony Frattoa managing partner at Hamilton Place Strategies, and the former deputy assistant and deputy press secretary to former United States President George W. Bush, moderates.

The JQI is a new economic indicator generated on a monthly basis. The JQI shows changes in the quality of  the U.S. jobs base by tracking the relative numbers of high-wage/high-hours goods-producing (and some service) jobs, and low-wage/low-hour positions. The long term trend of increasing dominance of low-wage, low-hour jobs has resulted in low household income growth, higher income inequality and overall U.S. economic growth below its potential.
