“If you believe that we should say no to unfair trade deals, that we should stand up to China, that we should support our steelworkers and autoworkers and homegrown manufacturers, then join us,” she said.
Her statement on trade hit the main points of a defensive policy that has hardened Clinton against the TPP and promised to take China to task over alleged currency manipulation and other unfair trade practices.
Meanwhile, she took an expected dig at Trump’s business practices, including reports that he failed to honor contracts with small businesses and the use of foreign manufacturers to produce his clothing, furniture and home goods.
“Donald Trump says he wants to make America great again, well he could start by actually making things in America again,” she said.
