WASHINGTON — The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) continues to expand its Economic Research and Government Relations Teams to support its advocacy for trade and industrial policies to re-establish America’s prosperity and world-leading economic growth.
Amanda Mayoral has joined CPA as Economist and Robby Smith has joined in a new role as National Security Advisor. Mayoral will work with the Economics Team on building CPA’s resources of original research and analysis to demonstrate the effectiveness of aggressive policies for trade, industry, and economic growth. Smith will work with the Government Relations Team to continue to expand CPA’s presence in Washington, including on Capitol Hill and in the administration, with a special emphasis on China policy, national security, and human rights.
“As CPA continues to expand our presence in Washington, we are very pleased to add top talent to our team in both Amanda and Robby,” said Michael Stumo, CEO of CPA. “CPA’s Economics Team plays an integral role in providing the research that drives the policy goals of our organization. Our Government Relations Team ensures that these policies are implemented by lawmakers and government officials. At such a crucial juncture in the fight to reshore American industry and address strategic competition with China, we are proud to welcome Amanda and Robby to our team.”
Mayoral has worked on economic issues at ASR Analytics, the World Bank Group, and the U.S. Institute of Peace. She has two degrees in economics from American University, where she recently taught microeconomics
Smith most recently served as a top assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, coordinating her work with the interagency and National Security Council in Washington with a special focus on China. She also served for several years as a policy staffer in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives where she worked on national security and foreign affairs issues. She is currently attending the U.S. Naval War College.
