The National Defense University runs the Manufacturing Industry Seminar for mid-career officers from all the services. Charles Blum, CPA Government Relations Director, entitled his presentation to them “Manufacturing, Trade and Globalization: Getting the Fundamentals”.
The class will visit Kia in Korea as well as Ford in Detroit.
Charlie explained that our cumulative trade deficit since 1974 is $9.5 trillion, 74% of which was accumulated in the last 14 years since China joined the WTO. Recent liberalization efforts coincide with these deficits.
CPA is always looking for opportunities to educate new groups interested in the US and the international economy.
